The Amigo Mobility Marketing Summer Internship program places you in the middle of our marketing initiatives — marketing strategy, communications, creative development, inbound marketing, social media, innovation and marketing research analytics. This 12-Week Program is targeted towards individuals who are interested in developing a marketing career with a global organization and working within a small-team environment.

Position Summary

The Graphic Design Intern reports to the Marketing Manager and works with the Graphic Design segment of the Marketing Department. This position is responsible for assisting with the creation of designs for internal clients and marketing initiatives, based off of creative briefs, marketing request forms, and senior leadership initiatives. The

Graphic Design Intern will work closely with Graphic Designers in a creative structured environment that is focused on collaboration to effectively reach marketing goals. The Graphic Design intern is expected to take direction, be a team player and actively contribute to the marketing team and to the business.

Essential Job Functions

  • Knowledge, understanding and technical skills across all graphic design media
  • Have a deep passion and ability for all things design – trends, philosophies, and technologies
  • Ability to work well with a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to finish a project
  • Ability to think holistically and work with writers, strategists, and other designers to make your own work – and theirs – even better
  • Use design to communicate key messages; elevate and add value to content
  • Be open to learning new tools and software


  • Maintain active knowledge of design trends
  • Develop designs for print collateral, emails and web graphics, banners, social media campaigns and other marketing needs
  • Design solutions within a multitude of tools like Adobe, HTML, Wordpress and well as other outlets
  • Support business development efforts by providing high-impact visual solutions
  • Help with other design projects as the need arises
  • Contributes to team effort by performing related tasks as required

Required Skills

  • Excellent computer skills; at a minimum candidate must be proficient in Adobe
  • InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Microsoft Office on a Mac platform
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of typography, color and production
  • Continuous learning to keep skills and industry knowledge current
  • Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
  • Ability to meet deadlines and/or targets

Education and Experience: (Preferred)

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Junior or Senior
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership.
